Frequently ask Questions
Design & Options
-
Yes. Our doors and windows are made to measure for each project. We can work from your drawings or a reference image, then develop the dimensions and details to suit your opening.
-
We can develop the profiles, mullion layout and detailing around your design. Share the proportions or reference details you have in mind so we can discuss what is possible for your project.
-
We can accommodate almost any choice of glazing, colour, finish and hardware. If you have something specific in mind, we’ll work with you to incorporate it, provided it is practical and suitable for your door or window.
-
Send us the dimensions and proposed design for review. Large openings are assessed individually so we can discuss the configuration, profiles, glazing and hardware required.
-
Contact us to discuss the products or finishes you would like to see. We can confirm which samples are available and arrange a suitable time to view them.
Materials & Quality
-
Our options include galvanised steel and stainless steel. We discuss the location, application and preferred finish with you to help select a specification suited to your project.
-
External and coastal projects need a specification suited to their location and exposure. Let us know where the products will be installed so we can review the material, finish and weathering details with you.
-
Galvanised steel has a protective zinc coating that helps resist rust. We then apply a fluoropolymer paint coating, adding another layer of protection against moisture, weathering and corrosion.
-
Our products are made by specialist manufacturers in China. Steelos works with the factory on the drawings and production details, with quality checks covering fabrication, finishes, glazing and operation.
Quotes & Ordering
-
Send us your drawings or opening dimensions, project location and any design references. Pricing depends on the size, configuration, material, glazing, finish and hardware, together with the delivery and installation scope.
-
Shop drawings set out the dimensions, configuration and details of your order. You review and sign them before production, so the approved drawings clearly record what will be manufactured.
-
Contact us as soon as possible if you need a change. We will check the production stage and confirm whether the change can be made, including any effect on the price or delivery timing.
-
Your project lead time is confirmed in your quote and runs from signed shop-drawing approval. The timeframe will reflect the scope of the order and the agreed delivery arrangements.
-
A deposit starts the order, with the remaining product balance due before dispatch. Your quote and invoices set out the payment stages, including any separately agreed installation work.
Delivery & Installation
-
We offer supply-only orders and can discuss installation for projects within our service areas. Tell us your location and the support you need so the scope can be clearly included in your quote.
-
Measurement arrangements depend on the agreed supply and installation scope. We confirm who will provide the final dimensions before the shop drawings are approved for production.
-
Send us the project address so we can confirm delivery arrangements and pricing. Site access, product dimensions and unloading requirements are considered when planning the delivery.
-
Glazing arrangements are confirmed for your order. The product size, handling requirements and installation plan are considered when deciding whether glass is fitted before delivery or on site.
Warranty & Care
-
Warranty terms depend on the material and components specified. Ask us for the warranty information relevant to your order, including the cover for the steel products and hardware.
-
Follow the care guidance for your particular finish, glass and hardware. Contact us if you are unsure which cleaning products or maintenance steps are suitable for your order.
